May and June have transformed The Wanderwood Gardens into a lush green landscape for the summer. Among the biggest (and tallest) updates this month is the rising structure of our Canopy Tree House. The silver base support, now firmly rooted, will soon hold a treetop adventure like no other. Visitors will traverse a swaying obstacle bridge, tiptoe across the whimsically wonky Catawampus Balance Beams, and journey through the tree canopy via an overhead walkway that leads to a suspended rope-net platform for the truly daring. When it’s time to descend, spiral stairs or a swirling slide return you to the forest floor.

Coming Spring 2026, The Wanderwood Gardens is an enchanting setting for discovery and imaginative play. This new children’s garden will cultivate children’s relationships with the outdoors through interacting with the natural and manmade playgrounds surrounding them. The gardens are filled with a variety of flowers, trees, and plants, with magical activity areas and winding paths that lead to hidden nooks and crannies, creating an active nature’s playground for all ages. The Wanderwood Gardens will be connected to The Dubuque Arboretum and located at 3800 Arboretum Dr in Dubuque, Iowa.
